Okay.... so I started a blog. Now what the hell do I do? The whole purpose is to post some of the cards and ATC items I've been working on lately so my friends across the world can see. Of course, it is possible that they MOVED across the world so they wouldn't have to be bored by my art...
I've acquired an awful lot of Tim Holtz (famous designer/product developer in the stamping world) stuff lately, and am feeling compelled to actually USE it rather than just look at it. Today I did some experimenting. I'm sure it will get easier, but here are some samples of Artist Trading Cards I completed today. ATCs are small pieces of artwork - 2.5 x 3.5 inches. I was inspired by a self-portrait SeeJay posted a few days ago. I knew I had to make it into an ATC. Here it is, front and back:

The amazing portrait was nabbed from SeeJay's FB |

Here's the back of the same card. The music is tissue tape |
These cards have slots on the side so I can store them in a round 'holder' like a rolodex file. Here are some other examples of cards I completed today.

The art is a photo from the All American Rejects concert, messed with in Photoshop a bit |

... and the back |

The great thing about ATCs is you can experiment with different techniques and it's not a big commitment |

Tim Holtz stamps and masks are so much fun to play with |
|
Love the way the front of this one came out |

Not crazy about the back. The center color isn't as bad as it looks here, but it isn't great. Back to the drawing board. |
Well that's it. So far, this is just for me....
